1. Acceptance of these Terms

By inviting Maeda to a Discord server, signing in to the Maeda dashboard, enabling a Maeda feature, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you use Maeda on behalf of a server, organization, or other entity, you confirm that you have authority to act for it.

If you do not agree, do not use Maeda and remove the bot from servers you control.

2. Eligibility and Discord rules

You must meet Discord's minimum age requirements and any higher minimum age required by applicable law. Your use of Maeda must also comply with Discord's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, Developer Platform rules that apply to your use, and applicable law.

3. Acceptable use

You may use Maeda to operate, protect, moderate, automate, and manage communities you are authorized to manage. You must not use Maeda to:

• harass, threaten, scam, spam, exploit, or facilitate illegal or dangerous activity;
• circumvent Discord safety, privacy, rate limits, platform restrictions, or enforcement;
• obtain passwords, tokens, session credentials, or other account secrets;
• conduct unauthorized surveillance, mass messaging, destructive server actions, or abusive automation;
• interfere with Maeda's infrastructure, probe it without authorization, or attempt to access another user's or server's data;
• use Maeda in a way that violates Discord rules or the rights of others.

We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users, Discord communities, Maeda, or third parties.

4. Server permissions and automated actions

Maeda can only perform Discord actions allowed by the permissions granted to it. Server owners and authorized administrators are responsible for deciding which permissions, modules, automations, and enforcement rules to enable.

Features that can change roles, channels, messages, member access, moderation status, or server configuration should be enabled only by people who understand their effect. Maeda may require confirmation or additional permission checks for higher-risk actions, but those controls do not replace administrator judgment.

5. Maeda AI and automated recommendations

AI-assisted outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate for a specific situation. They are provided as assistance, not as a guarantee of correctness. For consequential moderation, security, legal, financial, or safety decisions, a qualified human should review the relevant evidence before acting.

You are responsible for the content you provide to AI features and for ensuring you have the right to process that content. Do not submit secrets or unnecessary sensitive personal data.

6. Accounts, OAuth, and security

Maeda may use Discord OAuth2 to identify you and determine which servers you are authorized to manage. Maeda does not ask you to enter your Discord password into the Maeda website. You are responsible for protecting your Discord account and devices and for promptly revoking access if you suspect compromise.

7. Availability, updates, and changes

We aim to keep Maeda reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. Features may change, be rate-limited, temporarily disabled, or discontinued for maintenance, security, abuse prevention, Discord platform changes, or operational reasons.

We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice through the website, dashboard, Discord support channels, or another appropriate method. Continued use after an update becomes effective means you accept the updated Terms to the extent permitted by law.

8. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Maeda at any time by removing the bot and, where available, disconnecting your dashboard account. We may suspend or terminate access for material violations, security risks, abuse, legal requirements, Discord enforcement, or conduct that threatens the service or other users.

9. Third-party services

Maeda depends on third-party services such as Discord and may use hosting, security, analytics, or AI infrastructure. Those services may have their own terms and privacy rules. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.

10. Intellectual property

Maeda's name, branding, website design, software, documentation, and original content are owned by their respective rights holders and are protected by applicable law. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you. Discord trademarks and assets remain the property of Discord and its licensors.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Maeda is provided on an “as available” basis without warranties that cannot reasonably be promised for an online service. We do not guarantee that every raid, scam, malicious link, abusive action, or configuration mistake will be detected or prevented.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Maeda operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from use of or inability to use Maeda. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
