1. Who operates Maeda

Maeda is operated by the Maeda / Sky Community team. For the data processed directly by Maeda to provide the bot and dashboard, the operator acts as the responsible service operator or data controller as applicable under local law. Discord separately processes data under Discord's own Privacy Policy.

2. Information we may process

Discord account and OAuth data

When you sign in with Discord, Maeda may receive your Discord user ID, username/display name, avatar, OAuth authorization details, and other profile fields included in the scopes you explicitly authorize. Maeda does not receive your Discord password.

Server and configuration data

To provide dashboard and bot features, Maeda may process server IDs, server names, channel IDs, role IDs, permissions, configuration, enabled modules, automation rules, and other data needed to operate the features chosen by server administrators.

Moderation and security data

Depending on enabled features, Maeda may process user IDs, role changes, join/leave events, moderation actions, message or channel identifiers, security events, suspicious activity signals, audit information, links, and limited message content when necessary for features such as AutoMod, anti-spam, link scanning, incident review, or a user-requested AI action.

Technical and support data

The website or backend may process IP address, user agent, session identifiers, timestamps, request logs, error diagnostics, and information you voluntarily submit to support.

3. How and why we use information

We use information only as reasonably necessary to provide and secure Maeda, including to authenticate users, show servers they are authorized to manage, execute configured bot functions, detect abuse, keep audit and incident records, troubleshoot errors, provide support, enforce these Terms, and improve reliability using aggregated or de-identified information where appropriate.

Depending on the context and applicable law, processing may be based on performance of a service requested by you, legitimate interests such as security and abuse prevention, compliance with legal obligations, or consent where consent is required.

4. Discord API data

Maeda is designed to use Discord API data only for the functionality users and server administrators enable. We do not sell Discord API data, disclose it to data brokers or advertising networks, or use it to build advertising profiles.

We do not ask users for Discord passwords or user tokens. Access is handled through Discord's supported authorization mechanisms and bot permissions.

5. AI features and message content

Maeda does not use message content obtained through Discord APIs to train Maeda's own general-purpose machine-learning models. When you or an administrator enables an AI feature, the minimum content necessary to provide that feature may be processed by infrastructure or AI service providers used to generate the requested result.

AI features should not be used to submit secrets, financial credentials, health records, government identifiers, or other unnecessary sensitive information. Server administrators are responsible for configuring AI features appropriately and informing community members when required by law or platform rules.

6. When information may be shared

Information may be shared only when reasonably necessary with service providers that help operate Maeda (for example hosting, database, security, monitoring, or AI infrastructure), with server administrators for server-specific logs and configuration, when you direct us to share it, to comply with law or valid legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.

We do not sell personal data or Discord API data.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the service, such as access controls, least-privilege design, secure OAuth/session handling, protected developer credentials, logging, and incident response practices. No online system can guarantee absolute security.

8. Retention and deletion

We retain personal data and Discord API data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the feature that collected it, security and abuse prevention, dispute resolution, backups, or legal obligations. Retention can differ by data type and server configuration.

When data is no longer required, we aim to delete, anonymize, or otherwise render it non-identifying, subject to technical backup cycles and legal requirements. Removing Maeda from a server does not necessarily delete all security or transaction records immediately when retention is still necessary.

9. International processing

Infrastructure providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where applicable law requires protections for international transfers, we will use appropriate contractual or legal safeguards for transfers under our control.

10. Your privacy rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection, or withdrawal of consent. Some rights may be limited where we must retain information for security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or the rights of other people.

Server-level data can also be controlled by the relevant server owner or administrators. Some data visible through Maeda may originate from Discord, in which case account-level requests may need to be handled by Discord directly.

11. Children

Maeda is not directed to people below Discord's minimum permitted age or any higher minimum age required in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly design the service to collect data from children below that threshold.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy as Maeda, our infrastructure, or applicable requirements change. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users through the website, dashboard, Discord support channels, or another appropriate method.

13. Contact and privacy requests

For privacy questions, data requests, or concerns, contact the Maeda / Sky Community team through the official support community. Before fulfilling a request, we may need to verify that you control the relevant Discord account or server.
